ABOUT

Education

I have had the extraordinary privilege of being taught by some of the most accomplished professionals in the music industry. I attended The Blackbird Academy (TBA) in Nashville, Tennessee, and Central Michigan University (CMU) in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. I graduated in 2013 from CMU with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcasting and Cinematic Arts, accompanied by a double minor in Advertising and Media Design, Production, and Technology. Additionally, I earned a Social Media Certificate from CMU in 2014. I graduated from TBA with a Studio Engineering Diploma in 2015. The majority of my academic pursuits have focused on audio studies, but I have also developed a keen interest in exploring the diverse aspects of the music industry.

Internships

During my time at CMU, I interned with Greater Media Detroit, a media organization that supported three prominent Detroit radio stations. My responsibilities included assisting the Promotional team with various events and the Production Director with recording, editing, and placement of radio advertisements.

Additionally, I spent a summer interning with the Sones de México Ensemble, a non-profit music organization based in Chicago, Illinois. My duties included recording, editing, mixing, and mastering a total of 32 one-hour-long radio shows using Logic Pro; managing and organizing files; editing videos in Final Cut Pro; assisting with setup for live performances; and consulting and installing equipment upgrades for the home studio.

Professional Experience

Following my graduation from CMU in 2013, I embarked on a career as an Audio Visual Technician at Chase Creative Unlimited in Plymouth, Michigan. My responsibilities encompassed quality control of all equipment, including the installation, retrieval, and assembly/disassembly of audio-visual systems for various events, ranging from small-scale gatherings to large-scale productions.

In late 2014, I relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, to pursue my aspirations as an audio engineer within the music industry. Since my arrival, I have had the privilege of collaborating with a diverse range of organizations, including Blackbird Studios, Tommy’s Tracks, Encore Event Technologies, the Nashville Predators hockey organization, Durrell Sports, Springtree Media, and numerous other production companies. Additionally, I have had the opportunity to work with several Nashville-based artists in various capacities, such as guitar technician, monitor engineer, FOH engineer, and production manager. Currently, I am fulfilling my role as a freelance audio engineer.

My personal fulfillment lies in assisting artists and clients in achieving their full potential and objectives. My ultimate objective is to capture the essence of their vision and deliver a high-quality, well-crafted product in each new professional setting.
